Smoking in Atlantic City's casinos is set to come to an end. On Thursday, the city council banned smoking in one of the last remaining strongholds of smoke in the city by the water, the city's 11 casinos.

According to wire and press reports, the council voted unanimously, 9 to 0, to end the exemption for casinos. The only way casino gamblers will be allowed to enjoy cigars and cigarettes will be in employee-free smoking lounges, should casinos move to construct them.
