Funny you should ask. "Hola" is about the only thing I retained from High School Spanish classes. :) Thanks for the welcome. We are excited to have some fun getting to know the Social Cigar community. BTW, going to the RTDA/IPCPR show this year?

LOL! I know it was Spanish for 'hello'. I just thought I would ask for the reasons of comedic value. :-D

Unfortunately I was not one of the chosen three when the winners of the Social Cigar Top Dogs Contest were announced. But I am the first Runner-Up in the contest and if one of the three can't make it, I'll be waiting to take up the torch.

As much as I would love to attend, I am not "in the industry" and can't attend for that reason. If you aren't in the industry, you are pretty much out of luck. Even if I were invited and could get a pass to the actual event...I have been invited several times before, I would have to cover the cost of airfare, lodging and meals. I have no discretionary income to be able to cover those costs. And not being in the business, I can't write them off as a business expense.

I have been fortunate enough to have been able to meet some of the bigest names in the business since becoming a Cigar Enthusionado. And I would absolutely LOVE to attend the IPCPR. It has been a dream ever since I first heard about it.

I hear ya. I've been dreaming about my own cigar shop for ages. Final the chance came and I jumped on it. But you sure are right! Flying from Seoul and staying in a hotel in Vegas ain't cheap! Man, I'm gonna have to sell some cigars for this one!!!

"Hola" sounds similar to the Korean 오르, which can be used as an impolite/short form of the verb 오르다, which means "To climb" :-D
