How do You

With summer just around the corner, humidity levels will be going up. What is the best way to control the humidity in your humidor once the outside humidity his 80-90%? I have had a problem with this in the past, so I'm looking for some solutions.

Use propylene glycol crystals/gel such as Madelaine Crystal Clear Jars, Humistat Tube (also available for Altadis), etc. Altadis offers one for the humidor lid to replace your floral foam model that came with the humidor. The key to making these keep humidity down is not to let them become fully saturated. These gel type humidifiers will absorb moisture as well release it. The propylene glycol gel is stable at 70% humidity and will release moisture if below 70% and will absorb moisture if above 70%. However, they will only absorb moisture if they are not already saturated i. e. the jar/tube is filled to capacity with liquid.
I hope this makes sense, I've been in the liquor tonight.

Rent a locker at your local shop if they have them. Worth the money for the peace of mind. Climate and temperature controlled and you don't have to do anything.
