Alright guys, now I'm not talking about the first cigar you ever smoked, what cigar was so good, that it completely flipped your perspective on cigars. What cigar did you smoke that made cigar smoking a passion instead of the occasional stress relief?

Although I work for Camacho, this is still my honest opinion. I was smoking mild to medium cigars for years, never really graduated to full bodied, until I smoked the Camacho Corojo (Diploma Line) Maduro. That was it for me. It quickly became my favorite, and turned me into a full bodied smoker.

For me, it was the Punch Chateau L Double Maduro. The flavor was great, the velvety wrapper perfect, and it lasted a good, long time. This was the cigar I shared enthusiastically with friends and even with my fiancee on our first date. I've moved on to try - and love - other brands, but I still love the Punch.

I had tried several cigars thru my life and never liked a single one. Then in October 2003 a friend of mine returned from South Korea and he gave me an H. Upmann Coronas Major tubos. Then a few days later I thought I would give it a try one more time and brought out a shot of Cognac, removed the cigar, clipped it and lit it up. That was it, it was like a slap in the face waking me up to vanilla, nuts, cream and heaven, I was hooked and have been smoking cigars since.

Interesting question... For me personally, it was a cigar store, rather than a stick that did it for me... Someplace where Dad, Sean and I could try new smokes in the company of others. If I had to pick a stick, it would be a FF Opus X that George Brightman from Cigar Aficionado gave me back in '94.

Mine would be a Cohiba Siglo VI. I had smoked cigars here and there before this stick, but after I had the Siglo VI, i fell down the slope fast.

I initially dabbled with the ol' Swisher Sweets at gatherings, As I started to become more involved with cigars I went to a couple of events and landed on CAO Cameroons and Rocky Patel Vintage '90 & '92. Those were my standbys for awhile. On a whim, I picked up a 12'er of Gurkha X-Fuerte's Torpedo Grandes. Man, what a cigar! I remember smoking that sucker with sitting outside on a nice summer evening with a nice glass of bourbon... must have smoked that thing for three hours. I always have some of them on hand. I have been more of a full bodied cigar smoker ever since.

fantastic cigar! seems under-appreciated to me. the silver edition (can't remember the wrapper) is super good too.

for me the it was the A Fuente Don Carlos. Up to that point I was happily unaware of fine cigars, that one made me realize just how unaware I really was and how much I was missing out on. I have seen the light and am truly happy now. LOL

My first exposure to hand-rolled, quality cigars was when i went on a guys-only weekend. Three of us went to the beach in September several years ago. We played golf, fished and smoked lots of cigars. One of my friends supplied the cigars, La Finca and Onyx. They were darn good considering my first cigars were Swisher Sweets while in college.

Ever since then, I have been hooked.

"Hooked?"
Don't you mean..."Obsessed?"
Or is that just me?
