Smoked The La Riqueza Yet?

I smoked my first one a few days ago and it was really good. Not sure if I would rate it great yet, I have to give it another test drive.

My next La Riqueza I plan to take notes and post a review for you meat heads, but untill then I thought I would get some chater going on this new Pete Johnson smoke.

For those of you that know nothing about this cigar, it's a Pete Johnson cigar made by Pepin Garcia. It's the first PJ made with a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. The guts of the cigar are Nicaraguan, (Nicaraguan fillers and binders.) And from the one I smoked I would call it Medium body, but with a ton of falvour. But more on that from me later. Till then let's hear from you.

Have any of you smoked this yet? What are your initial impressions? How much did you pay and what size?

never even heard of it. That's why I hang out with you scholars - to educate me. :)

How much do they cost? You know ol' Cincybrian is gonna ask that sooner or later when something new hits the market.

I'm going to pick one up at Leesburg Cigar this week... They are the only place that has Tatuaje's close to me. I tried the new Tatuaje Black last time I was there. It's good but not as good as the brown label Tatuaje IMO. I've got two more Black's to try before passing final judgement...

Just lit one up Pablo.... It's the No. 2 (beli, torp, pyramid....) Not too shabby. Nice spice, the wrapper is nice and oily. Our retail for $7.25 to $9.50 Brian.

One of us will have to start the review thread on this Eric. I'm going to re-smoke it tomarrow, but if you want to start that would be great.

i've smoked all four sizes. i thought it was a decent cigar with nice flavors but pricey for the smaller rings. reminded me of the old school henry clay maduro. i think the lonsdale and the corona were the best two sizes.

The corona gorda was my favorite size by far. Good smoke for sure though.

Well, the one I was going to smoke for a review has been put on hold. I ended up with a slight break in my shoulder and have been on pain meds and immobile since. Just now starting to get back up and around...so I'll try and slip it in before the RTDA

Smoking the La Riqueza #2

I think it's a nice cigar overall. It's not as complex as the standard Tatuajes, but a solid performer with good taste and construction. I'd buy them again.
