Before my discovery of fine wine and spirits my drink of choice when smoking cigar was beer or an occasional vodka tonic. The more I learned about cigars and spirits, the more adventurous I became in my liquor consumption.
My first real journey into spirits began when my friend Penny returned from the Dominican Republic with an outstanding rum called Barcélo Superior de Año; and oh yeah, she brought back cigars to. I was amazed…

Choosing The Perfect Cigar
Author: Eric Brown
When I’m choosing a cigar, the most important qualities are burn and construction. If it doesn’t smoke, flavor means nothing. I can’t tell you how many times, the only cigar I had with me had a plug, unraveled or was rolled too loose. By carefully inspecting potential cigars one can drastically reduce the amount of sub-par cigars that find their way into your humidor.

I'm hoping you can solve a mystery for me.
A couple months ago I bought a box of Rocky Patel Summer Collection, which I am loving by the way, and thanks again for getting them to me at a good price!
In the package with them you gifted me a corona-sized Don Pepin Garcia, but I'm trying to figure out exactly what this cigar is. I've looked at all the different DPG lines, and none of them has a band like the one you gave me. The face of the band has a very dark blue background, and Don Pepin Garcia written in a fancy script across it, with each word taking up one line.
Then, on both sides of the band is a rectangle like a stage with the curtains pulled aside revealing a white background and the initials DPG interlocking. In between this "stage" and the front of the band are two circles - the one on top has a Cuban flag in it, the one on the bottom has a triangular seal.
Hope you can solve this mystery for me! This is definitely not the blue line - remember, the lettering on the front of the band is in fancy gold script, not printed.
Thanks for your help!
I'd call you, but I'm at work and on the company dime. PM me, and I'll get it today and get back to you.
BTW, I wasn't dissed the the smack-talking "bitches" comment. So as far as I'm concerned, we're cool.
Hugs,
DeeDee
